Ingredients

  • 3 cups Dark Rum
  • 1 cup Lime Juice
  • 2 cups Pineapple Juice
  • 1 cup Mango Juice
  • 1 cup Grenadine
  • 1 cup Simple Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • 2 drops Angostura bitters

Instructions

  • Add rum, lime juice, pineapple juice, mango juice, grenadine and simple syrup in a pitcher. Mix well.
  • Add the bitters and the nutmeg. Mix and chill in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Always use freshly grated nutmeg. Pre-ground spice quickly loses aroma and contributes very little to the finished drink.
  • Don't oversweeten at the beginning. Pineapple sweetness varies significantly, so mix first and adjust after tasting.
  • Never skip the resting period. Even thirty minutes noticeably improves integration, while one hour is even better.
  • Store leftover rum punch refrigerated for up to three days without ice. Stir before serving since fruit solids naturally settle.
