Creamy southern cole slaw made with tangy buttermilk and apple cider vinegar. A crisp, flavor-packed side perfect for cookouts, BBQ, and comfort meals.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz. Bagged Slaw Mix

For the Dressing

  • 1 Cup Mayo
  • 1 tablespoon Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemonade
  • ¼ cup Buttermilk
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Celery Seeds optional

Instructions

  • Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon salt to the cabbage, toss, and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse and dry in a salad spinner or use paper towels. Add to large mixing bowl.
  • Mix together vinaigrette ingredients. Add to the slaw mix and toss. Serve

Notes

  • Don't skip salting step with the cabbage. 
  • Prep the dressing ahead of time to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Add more mayo for creamier slaw
